Importance of Internal Courtyards in Designing Historical and Contemporary Masjid

The architecture of Masjids has spread in areas with harsh climates and natural conditions. In previous decades, the Masjid's design was a large flat area an inner courtyard middle. This architectural Masjid appropriate to nature hot climate. Recently, became closed that lack ventilation good lighting. research paper is based on analytical descriptive study determine importance internal courtyards historical Egypt elements affect significance contemporary Masjids. results show using when designing modern Masjid, which achieves many positive results, regarding climatic social aspects, by increasing thermal psychological comfort prayers.
